Axslav places 2nd in MSi Battlegrounds!.

This past weekend, Axslav and Thundertoss attended the MSi Battlegrounds tournament hosted by Green Forest Cafe in Ventura, California, with casters Day9, Gwin, Crota, and RaPiD. Even with competitors like SeleCt, viOLet, STX, Rhythm, and Beastyqt, Axslav looked in good shape to place high in the tournament.

On the first day, Axslav advanced through the Winner’s Bracket undefeated. He received his first loss from Empire. Violet in the Winner’s Bracket Finals in Day 2, where he would then face Violet’s teammate, Beastyqt, in the Loser’s Bracket Finals.

Casted by our very own Thundertoss, Axslav had a slugfest against Beastyqt in the first game on Antiga Shipyard. Both players showed showed impressive plays and decision making which resulted in a wild total of 180 workers killed from both sides. Axslav persevered, and it wasn’t until he was able to corner Beastyqt’s mobile army was he able to win.

The second game reflected Axslav’s game sense very well. With a quick scout with his initial observer on Shakuras Plateau, he sensed that something was awry and soon after found the hidden third that Beastyqt floated near his base. Axslav reacted accordingly and methodically controlled the pace of the game. Axslav defeated the terran in convincing fashion.

Axslav faced Violet once again in the tournament’s Grand Finals eventually, the result was no different from their last match. The last game showcased late game micro comprising of voidrays, high templars, carriers, and the mothership! But unfortunately, Axslav was unable to take the win and lost to Violet with an overall score of 4-0.

Regardless, we’d like to congratulate Axslav for placing second in the MSi Battlegrounds tournament! We are very proud of him on the good run, next up MLG Anaheim and WCS!
