The qualifiers are now coming to a close, once all 24 teams have been determined, IPL TAC3 will begin on May 6th in a true double elimination all-kill format.
Below we have a quick recap from the qualifier, including VODs from our final match vs DtG.
Round of 16: FXO.CIS
It wasn’t our first time facing FXO.CIS in the IPL TAC qualifiers. Previously known as imba.FXO, they are now officially part of team FXO. Earlier in the year we faced them in the first round of the IPL TAC2 qualifiers. We were stopped short back then, but this time it was different.Axslav was our starter and opened with an incredible showing of taking down HappyZerg, Strelok, Elbegast, and LoWeLy all on his own. With FXO.CIS in serious trouble of being all-killed, they sent out their ace, Brat_OK. Brat_OK took out Axslav and then our strongest zergs, jEcho and CrazyMoviNG. With the score difference now being one game, we sent out Insur who out Brat_OK the last time we met, and once more he managed to defeat the Terran, closing the series in favor for us. Infinity Seven 5-3 FXO.CIS
Round of 8: Team NrG
We started with owmygroin and dictated the pace as we won against LuckyFool. NrG sent out ouGe and was able to beat owmygroin and Sanddbox. We reacted accordingly by sending out Insur who was able to close the series again taking out ouGe, Mihai, Malice, and Jsung. Infinity Seven 5-2 NrG.
Semi-Finals: Dream Team Gaming
The final opponent of the qualifiers was Dream Team Gaming, an all Korean player team. DtG started the match with their former GSL Code A Player GGanDoL. We sent Pyre as our starter who lost narrowly against him. It all came down to timing and GGanDoL was able to make the most of it.

Sanddbox was next on the lineup, and our young hope managed to shut down GGanDoL as well as their next protoss, sCaR. DtG responded by using Sickness who went 4 gate and caught Sanddbox unprepared. We sent jEcho up next and once again Sickness opened with gateway first, but wasn’t able to finish jEcho with a mid game timing attack. They transitioned into late game, but due to poor control and slightly inferior army composition, jEcho lost the first major battle and wasn’t able to recover from that.

An ace for an ace, we sent out CrazyMoviNG to take out Sickness and it was done in a convincing fashion. Sickness failed to put enough pressure on CrazymoviNG and eventually folded to his swarm of roaches and hydras. Nette was next to snipe CrazyMoviNG, the Terran succeeded by proxy two-raxing on the best map for that in the map pool, Entombed Valley.

For our final player, the team decided on sending Insur yet again, who proceeded to fend off Nette’s 1-1-1, and outclassed Saga in the following game, closing the series for us 5-4. Insur finished all three teams in this qualifier.
